This is looking great Terry.

Is this going to be a group build or what? :hmmm
Ruben (Look what you started)... :ro: (y)
Are you going to open it up to everyone?
(Is there going to be a theme of WW-II era items)?
Axis Vs Allied?
I need more info :idonno

I've got a few idea's rolling around (just what i need is another
project to get started on)  ;)

Shawn

Shawn nothing is organized just a few crazy guys going wild. Anyone can join in :ro:
The theme seems to be WW II, but don't let that stop you. You know MIG Productions got this started by coming out with a set a legs for a KV-1 turret. Just have fun and see what you can come up with.

Re:WALKING TANK-THE RISE OF THE MACHINE1-26-10

Terry,
Ok, Let me see what I can come up with.
I remember MIG's walker quite well.
I'm thinking something to trip your little walker up..
:hmmm
or something more organic that will put a little dent in your
walking all over the place.

Re:WALKING TANK-THE RISE OF THE MACHINE2-5-10

Pretty cool stuff Terry.

I started one of these myself on Planet Armor where I first saw Ruben/Dave/Lost Legionar's walkers. Mine looks a lot more like the AT-ST walker in the Star Wars movies.

These are a real fun distraction to more common modeling kits.

Until I get some time and start a thread of my own, you can click the "view my blog" link in my signature and scroll down past the Mortar carrier half track, there are a couple pictures posted there.

Well boys and girls the machine has a hull that is not just a figment of my imagination. I have been adding the little details and doing some texture work. Next I plan to add some welds and some spaced armor. Until then here are some update pictures to look at. Comments welcome.

Re:WALKING TANK-MACHINE UPDATE 2-12-10

Looks great,
I am making plans (of course I can't draw and mine look nothing like
yours) for the "Anti-Walker" tank teams that I will be working on.
Engineers need to have a little fun too.

Re:WALKING TANK-MACHINE UPDATE 2-12-10

Sweet!

Unless I'm wrong, those two long access hatches look like they are from the old Verlinden PE set for the M20/M8 ?

Looking cool. B)

Re:WALKING TANK-MACHINE UPDATE 2-12-10

Looks fabulous Terry!

Ken, you must be one of the people who pore over sci-fi movie photos and identify the gizmology sources! This is not a dig as I do that all too often to the dismay of my long suffering wife.

Regards,

Regards,

No offense taken, that's me to a 'T' To this day I still scan the surface of the Death Star when Luke, Wedge and Biggs begin their attack run. B)

What really bothers my wife is when we go to a new restaurant, or someones new house for the first time. As a contractor the first thing I do is begin scanning the finish work, much to her dismay. ;)
