WALKING TANK-"ALL DONE"UPDATE

Re: WALKING TANK-"BULLET HOLES"UPDATE

Still working so it's time for an update. Considering that this thing is going to draw fire I desided to put a few bullet holes in it. I have done some more weathering with more to come. The hull is about 98% done with only a couple of jerry cans not yet attached. Currently working weathering the legs and after that figure painting. Here are some images of the work to date.

Fabulous work Terry. Great color scheme, not low visibility at all!

I know, now I mention this. Is there an external stowage bracket for the searchlight? Someplace for the crew to put away the searchlight when in harm's way like behind the turret spaced armor.

For the next one, if you dare, think of what the Israelis did with the Merkava, the spotlight is within the turret, shining upwards and a polish sheet metal mirror reflects the light where needed.

Regards,

Thanks Erik!! It has been suggested that put it on a WW I type terrain with trenchs and such. I like that idea.

:hmmm never thought of that. Maybe just maybe :hmmm . Thanks Saul! Another one!!!! The next thing like this is going to be a kit.

Re: WALKING TANK-"BULLET HOLES"UPDATE

T,

That terrain Idea sounds BOSS ! Although if it were in a Trench scenario it would be a little easy for the Infantry to attach a satchel charge to th legs & bring her down. It might be more effective as a Distance WEAPON ?

Re: WALKING TANK-"ON BASE"UPDATE

Well boys and girls the long walk that started a year ago is nearing it's end. I have been working on the base that the walker will be placed. I wanted a look that placed the machine in rubble of a city. What I have done is to make a base that is rubble and part of a street. Everything is mounted on to a wood base. The rubble is made of oven bake clay and Tamiya street parts, model railroad rocks and bricks made of cork. The street is made of the same cork cut into brick shapes. I am sure I will add more stuff before I'm done, but here are some pictures of the work so far.
