Update on my sister's condition

Peter,
Maureen and I will continue to pray for you, your sister and family and again add you all to our Church's Prayer list.
John and Maureen.

Shalom.

Today after tests the radiation specialists have said that even with the proposed radiation treatment my sister will have a maximum of three more months. At least that will allow us to celebrate one last birthday with her in April.

The cancer is in her major organs as well as the meninges (brain) and brain stem.

As far as I am concerned she is and has been in God's hands for some time now. He may still allow a miracle. As long as she lives there is hope.

I feel strangely peaceful about this. I guess it's because the results are what I experienced with so many other family members who have passed on because of cancers.

I'm trying to eat well and keep active physically as well as mentally so I can be available to the family if or when my sister passes on.

Thank you all so very much for thinking about us and for taking the time to pray for us.

Cheers from Peter

Shalom.

She took a major turn for the worse last night and stopped breathing a couple of times.

She's not expected to make through tonight. They have not been able to wake her and she may be in a coma.

Family from out of town have been gathering at her bedside.

I'm hoping to get a couple of hours uninterrupted sleep before heading back to the hospital. They sent me home before I collapsed from sheer exhaustion.

Your prayers are really helping the family.

Thanks and cheers from Peter

Strength to you all, Peter- courage will see you through. You are in my thoughts, my friend,

chuk
