TLAR Models 1/700-1/350 Universal Hull set #1020

A blown Hemi up forward, Zoomie pipes out the sides of the hull, with the Trawler deckhouse aft? Underpants and socks flying from the mast?
“Mama says my new boat is too fast and noisy for Shrimpin’. That’s what Mama says……………”
Excerpt from the instructions.

So can TLAR Models!

"Hey Jimmy. Lookee heyer!"
"Whuuuuuuuuut?!?!?"

Socks, underpants, a huge Alabama state and Confederate navy flags should fly from the mast of this most redneck 1/350 version of the Universal Hull kit. Overall Competition Orange paint job, perhaps? F.V. John Maffitt will surely give snowflakes fits!!

I hope these don't sell to briskly. This kit is a pain in the butt to put together. This makes 12 molds for a complete kit. Holly Molly!
No, The Bad Man did not stop. :smack:
Thanks again for looking in!

We now return you to your regularly scheduled shrimp trawler model.
A few work lights on top of the boom catcher will be handy. A radio whip too.
I'm waiting for my brand new black stripes to come for the boot line on the hull. I finally threw out the old Squadron/Signal black stripes I got from Chuck Sterns. They were beyond resurrection.

That' shrimp boat with the blown Hemi is a scream! Kinda reminds me of that famous Southern line: "Hold my beer, I'm gonna try somthin'"

Imagine, if you may, all the possible (ridiculous) applications for Hemi power in the modeling world. 1/43 Slot Cars? Chop a hole in the hood of your 1/35 Jeep? Blown Hemi Opel Maultier? 1/48 Sherman? P-38 Lightning with 4 sets of zoomie pipes (no more troublesome turbo chargers)?
Fenderless Hot Rod Staff Cars? Citroen Bucket T? Injection is fine, but I'd rather be blown!

None of us should be limited by What Is! Envision what Could Be!

Many is the time I have said "Okay, this is the final bit of Model Madness for this kit."

I wanted a beefier drive pulley for the blower.

A rubber ducky?
Yes friends. Something else to tickle the funny-bone!

Final (?!?) mold filled and ready to pour RTV. 4 more parts for the Universal Hull kit and a skylight upgrade for USS Carondelet.
Thanks for looking in again and again!

The new black stripes are printed on a continuous film, so careful cutting out is a must! They seem to lay down nicely and save a ton of masking and painting! Calling these a win!

The final resin parts cast well. NO MORE PARTS!! NO, Rhiner NO!

The hard part is almost done. It could be time for paint on the booms and masts to date. Touching up the deckhouse is coming up as well.
Thanks again for looking in!

Captain Reggie Sawyer's Darien, GA Shrimp boat "Grave Digger" progresses. No Hemi powerplant. (This time!)
The modified Universal Hull will make a convincing trawler once she is finished up. Stowed booms with birds at the ends are planned, Barrels, coolers and other shrimp season gear is coming. Remember, with the TLAR Models Universal Hull kit, there are NO wrong answers!
