Terrible Terrible crash at Reno

There was a horrible crash at Reno today. Apparently 12 are confirmed dead and more than 75 injured. Pilot Jerry Leeward flying the P-51 Galloping Ghost apparently was pulling out of the race and something happened. This is graphic footage so be warned.

What a terrible year for airshows and now this. I don't even know what to say... :(

This is horrible news. Thoughts and prayers to all those involved.

I'm sure that the FAA is going to step in and do something considering the rash of incidences lately.

Saw this on the news as well only Aus news are sayin only 3 dead.
3 or 12 it's sad, I hope we don't start to lose Airshows because of misfortune. :(

It's just a horrible year for the airshow world. Some witness's said they heard strange engine noise's before the crash but there is a very clear still frame from a video clip of Jimmy's Mustang as it went inverted, it shows one of the elevator trim tabs missing. This might explain alot. Witness's also said it appeared he was fighting for control of the plane and believe he did manage to coax it away from the grandstands. The most unusual thing about the crash was the lack of fire. The latest death toll according to AP is 9 confirmed.
