Tamiya 1/48 PanzerKampfwagen II

I haven't visited in awhile and I started this project about a month ago in early October not knowing about this campaign. If I don't qualify for the campaign please let me know Mod so I will park this elsewhere? :hmmm

I have been on a "airplane-binge" for the past 2 years; so this is my first completed tank for that long...I took time off from my other projects to do this because I was stuck in a builders-block. I call this my "caviar" project because there will be no fit issues to worry about and it is going to be a relaxing build.

Used Tamiya Weathering Sticks on the tank and it's good! Also tried using oils instead of enamel for the rust streaks.

Enough talk, pictures are below :P

It's been fun doing this.. thanks for looking :popcorn

Nice build, and really nice weathering but since we didn't get a start and progress photos it's not for the Blitzkreg. Plenty of time to start one though, and plenty of other campaigns going on!

Moving this to Ground Power.

Thanks Mod for the clarification, apologies for any inconvenience caused

Thank you James for the compliment.

Oh wow that is a nice build. I look forward to more of that.

Very nicely done, Gambit! I'd encourage you to do another for one of the Campaigns, you sure have the ability! (y)

Thanks everyone for your encouragement and complements.. what a great start to the day for me! :dance

I love the grey

please tell how you achieved thos marvelous paintwork ?

Hi Andy, I used German Grey from Mr Hobby (lacquer paint) for the whole vehicle and then lighten the German Grey with Sail (about 4:1 ratio, also from Mr Hobby) to apply some of the flat surfaces in my own interpretation of "color modulation"..

I use this book from Blackstar COLOR MODULATION TECHNIQUES: ZENITHAL LIGHT by Javier Soler as reference.
