Hi new on here, just retired looking to rekindle my youth.
Just bought a secondhand part built Airfix 1/12 Bentley kit and have found that the radiator and radiator cowl are missing. Long shot can anyone help, have contacted Airfix but no help.
Thanks Steveb

Welcome Steve!

One of the gents on here built that Bentley a while back and did a fair amount of modifications to get it up to snuff. Sorry to hear you ended up with a kit missing parts. Let us know what your interests are and maybe we can lead you to decent kits that will inspire you to build and have fun, and away from kits that should have been put in a rubbish bin at the factory.

Hi guys thanks for the welcome.
Mainly interested in car models and due to my arthritic fingers, larger scale ones. I bought the kit to see if I could cope with the fingers, not a good start with the missing parts.
I did and a while back, hopefully I can do better now.

Steve, I get the larger scale builds. I like building larger scale models, but my thing is I still do the micro scratch building. As a watchmaker I am so used to dealing with micro parts that micro is not really an issue. It just makes me build a LOT more little parts that I can see, but that are not included with whatever kit I am currently building.

Welcome. Glucosamine and castor oil rubbed into the skin does wonders with arthritis. Mother nature and father time are cruel parents. Gary S.

My knees are killing me, last several weeks. I don't want to go to orth because first thing they say is surgery when I know some rehab can do some good, it's healing slowly but I also started this stuff this week. Guess it takes a while for it to get in your system. I'll get Cindy to pickup some Castor oil and give that a go.
And yes, I'll take medical advice from my buddy's over going to butcher surgeons.

I have to back under the knife on Feb 5th to remove (again) a large fatty tumor in my left thigh. They have never been able to get all of it. The first surgery lasted about 5 years till I was able to tell it was back. Finally had another surgery about 4 years ago but this time the new surgeon didn't even try to get it all.
Not sure what to expect this time as the tumor is wrapped around the nerve in my leg (always has been) which is why it keeps coming back. If not for the nerve thing I wouldn't be too worried. I could end up walking like normal, with a cane, with a leg brace or who knows. at this point, but it has to be done, so no real choice.
