Thanks Guys!! Looks like a pretty slick kit. I has a pilot figure which I will be using. No time for PE seat belts got to get this one up.

Re: SPITFIRE MK. I "LICKITY SPLIT SPIT" ROUND 1

Started the Spit this morning. First I made up my paint mixture for the interior and then painted the parts while on the sprues. Next I assemblied some of the cockpit and painted again. Here are the results so far and comments are welcome.

Re: SPITFIRE MK. I "LICKITY SPLIT SPIT" ROUND 1

I think once the cockpit is assemblied I'm going to give it olive green oil wash to bring out some of the details.

Terry, nice kit!
The details looks more real than the Revell kit that I'm making. :S

For sure a good build in the way! :popcorn

Re: SPITFIRE MK. I "LICKITY SPLIT SPIT" ROUND 2

Thanks Art! It's a nice kit. The fit is great typical Tamiya. I did some more work last night. I added the wash I was talking about and started detail painting the IP. Added the detail parts to the fuse sides, painted and washed also. I assembled the wings and will clean up the edges today. I am working on the pilot more on that later. Here are some pictures and comments are welcome.
