This what I have been waiting for, the painting. Looking great so far. I like the look of the rubber paint, close to the real deal.
Looking forward to the weathering.

Okay no pics because my camera needs to recharge, but they will come.
I have managed to put in about 2 hours of modeling today and have my SdKfz 7 late about 1/2 way done. Almost ready to start painting components and then filling up with stuff. I noticed the gun needs to be fixed as the barrel should be slid down the track some for towing. Just so happy that I am able to do this with no problems.

Flatbed not glued on. Just test fitting.

sharp looking halfbuild halftrack!

the howitzer looks splendid! will you reposition the barrel for transport? it's no biggie and you could paint the then blank areas with brush!

Thanks Andy and Laura.
Laura I tried moving the barrel tonight but for some reason it looks like I glued it. I dont normally do that. So the gun will be incorrectly portrayed. Oh well, I'm just thrilled to be modeling like I used to.

well then, then it's an instant repositioning of the battery in haste without the barrel put in towing position! (there's always an explanation for something unusual in a model kit!)

the most important thing is that you could return to modelling! (y)

Had a tough time with hood. Did not meet front to back. So tape finger pressure then cyano and finally next to no gap. Needs some work though.
Keep plugging along.
