I started this kit as I waited for responses from Hilary L. Doyle on my Waffenträger model. So, 30 minutes at a time.

About three hours later, most of it cleaning parts and truing them up:

An hour later I look for things to improve:

This mantlet has wrong details so I penciled in what I would add:

I drilled out some hinges, added punched hinge pin heads, was about to take photos when a package arrives...

Of course, this came to slow me down!

So close to finishing this one! Help me! Calgon, take me away!

Looks pretty cool Saul!!! No rest must finish!

Well, I tried the ET Model fenders. I wasn't sure about them and, in the end, am glad that they are a separate set. If I did it over again, I would not order them.

Note, there is nothing wrong with them, it is simply my opinion that the improvement over the plastic parts isn't enough to justify the cost.

As you can see, the kit parts include embossing visible on both sides of the mud guards.

Compared to the real item, note that the embossing is much wider than the PE effort but not as deep as the kit parts:

The set does include some tiny tie down eyes which I will add. Wow, a mini-review!

I decided against the metal mudguards and glued the upper to lower hull together. I also added the missing ribbing to the mantlet.

It builds very nicely!

There is a small gap at the front which I will fill with sprue 'welds' but the fit has been very good so far.
