It's a simple little kit that gives me NO EXCUSE for not finishing in a month. :bat

Thanks dudes! Got started tonight. This is definitely a short run kit. Huge sprue gates. Very pebbly rough surface texture. Flash and mold seams galore. It does have nice panel lines though and surprisingly it fit together pretty well.

Started with the cockpit and one look at the seat and I was all like noooooooooooooo.

So some scrounging around and little plastic card later and we have a much more reasonable representation.

The kit completely lacks and IP so again some scrounging around and I am using this IP and decal from the Revell Horten 229.

Test fitting reveals a decent fit and surprise... not a tail sitter.

Went ahead and sprayed the cockpit and glued it together revealing this nasty little step gap but it shouldn't be too hard to sand down.

That's all I got tonight but this little thing should go pretty fast.

Moving right along. I finished up the seat and added some simple tape belts.

Also got the IP decal on.

One last look before the canopy goes on for good.

The canopy was masked. The framing was on the inside of the canopy which made masking oh so much fun! :bang head

I cut new front gear bay doors from plastic card as the kit ones were overly thick. I also gave all of them little bits of PE tabs for final attachment.

Primered and pre-shaded. I used Mr. Surfacer 1000 for primer for the first time and I really really like it.

Painting is done and decaling has commenced.

I hope to have this little beast finished up tonight. Also as a side note there where a lot of fit problems with this kit. The step seam on the fuselage was bad and the wing to fuselage fit was horrid. I didn't delve into my fixing any of that because I was so :vmad the entire time that my "simple" build was fighting me tooth and nail.
