I have a small box of rather interesting vac kits. One is of the HL-10 lifting body and is about 60-70% done. Hard part was coming up with landing gear and trying to find cockpit photos for it. (Another 80's build that stalled from lack of info) I also have the other lifting body X-planes in 1/72 but never started them. The kits were super sharp and crisp with reasonably thick/thin plastic At this point I could probably finish it in a reasonable time frame If I could come up with cockpit info. (Saul?)

You just need to find a donor T-38 for the landing gear and then throw a tarp over the canopy to protect the cockpit from snoops :)

  • Landing Gear: Main gear was a modified T-38 system that retracted manually and lowered by nitrogen pressure. Nose gear was a modified T-39 nose gear that retracted manually and lowered with nitrogen pressure.
  • Pilot Ejection System: Modified F-106 system.

LOL! I will have to do some digging as I am not real sure what old box it is in. Also going to be sometime in late Jan before I even think about kit building. Still working on emptying a storage building and getting a car moved to Memphrica. This weekend is going to be removing some more stuff from the storage, and moving the car from the corner to the center so it can have the wheels removed and I can get tires installed. The $200+ a month drain has to be plugged. Once that is done I am free to do whatever.
