Once again we converge on the metropolis known as Duncan SC for the PSM IPMS show. Pickin's were slim at the tables except for the Quaker Steak and Lube for wings and :drinks It was a pretty good showing of entrants this year.

Chris racked up, shoot, can't remember how many First places, was it 3 Chris? Mike took top honors with the Axis closed top and your humble IT got got silver for the PBR and the Honey.

Our regular photographer is still out with a doctor's excuse so Chris took some shots around the tables.

First up you'll see our pal Ken Friend's scratch built F82 Twin Mustang. Ken has told us at previous shows that he was able to get the actual drawings from North American Aviation and create his patterns from those. Then he took photos of the actual panels and made them into decals. Outstanding job again Ken! (y)

Good time was had by all, saw some of our lurker buds (you know who you are) and pleased to see them enter their stuff as well.

I'm looking forward to the next AMPS show, really like to have some feed back on my stuff instead of just a print out of an award. We'll see next time.

:drinks Thanks for sharing Bob! nice SWS (gave me some ideas for mine) :D and that twin mustang is awesome!

Thanks for sharing these pictures!

Congratulations on the prices,SOB gang! :rotf ;) :drinks
[...'SOB gang' might be an inside joke for others]

Greetings,Ron.

Official medal count is,
Chris 3 gold, 1 silver 2 bronze
Mike 2 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze
and I got 2 silver.

I got more pictures coming but I got some chores on the website to do yet.

Pup is being modest, his silver for the Honey came out of a category with some good competition and a lot of entries. His Pibber was the best ship on the table, but I guess size does matter. Chris, despite his reluctance to enter anything, dominated the wingy categories (even if the judges don't understand Hurricanes). Congrats, guys! Especially to Bob on his first wins! :good:

This was an odd show, they have a very nice venue, but the already poor lighting was made worse by an overcast day. The categories were pretty narrow and could have been split up more, in my opinion. I have never been to a show where they did not announce the winners, they just placed the awards beside the models. There were folks packing up their stuff while awards were being placed, that always makes me nervous.

It was a fun day, got to see lots of old friends, good eats and a couple cold beers and all I bought was lunch!

:drinks

And the awards were just print outs, that's why I told Mark that I'm sure the folks who take the trouble to enter their contest will appreciate the effort they are putting in.

Thanks for sharing Bob! I need to join AMPS or something so I can stop missing this stuff. Thats an hour and a half from me.

I just scrolled through and caught Mikes post- Bob that is fantastic that you won something there! Copngrats :drinks

Thanks for asking Randy, I got some more images but we need to get Mike and Chris to post what they brought. I couldn't keep up with all they had.

Looks like a great show. Some very very nice models there. Congrats Chris Mike and Bob on the awards. (y) (y) (y) (y) (y)

Chris is FROM Belgium, does that count? B)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA :rotf I think I could still fake it :drinks :popcorn

Anything that happened at this venue is entirely the Pup's fault . He just had to take something against my best judgment. :facepalm

In the and , it was a good show under terrible lighting and some incredibly strange judging :smack and poor separation of military classes.

Sorry about the half hearted photography from my part . Seriously bad lighting and model placement contributed to a lot of it.

The F-82 and the X-15 are much more deserving than the situation allowed and there were others that should have been captured.

To those of you that follow my post, you have seen most of what I entered yesterday. If there is interest, I could take some pictures and post them latter
.

Cheers, Christian B)
