Opinions on Old 1/35 Tamiya M2 Bradley w Interior?

Hi there.

I hope this is the right area to ask this.

I have one of the older 1/35 scale Tamiya Bradley 35132 kits with the interior coming in the mail. I ordered it because it was only $10.00 US plus shipping which wasn't much. Together it was still at lot less than the $48.00 it would cost me here.

I'm not familiar with the Bradley or this kit and I just got it on a whim. Does this kit produce a decent facsimile of the Bradley if the model is built out of the box? Or is it another of those Tamiya kits that is chock full of errors and only bears a passing resemblance to the real thing?

Thanks and cheers from Peter

It is not bad. If you like to detail, look at the article after this review:

Pawel did a great job in his detailing article:

You can also look at the Academy kit reviews:

Regards,

It's actually quite a decent kit, remembering that it's a mid-80's vintage. The interior provides enough detail out of the box to look reasonable as a "look through the hatches" model. The interior is a little basic, but nowhere near as spartan as the M113.

Pawel's article (linked above by Saul) primarily deals with the M2A2 kits, but certain areas will still apply to this kit, especially around the drivetrain, as the later kits are all direct descendents of this kit (even Academy's Bradley kits).

Indeed the interior from this kit could be used as a basis for adding an interior to the laterM2A2 kits as some of the M2A2's retainted the individual seating arrangement. Later new-build M2A2's have bench seating along the sides.

Either way, you got a good deal for $10.00 plus shipping - enjoy :)
