Pretty big picture of landing craft on the beach

Look at all those half tracks with towed guns!

Appears to be about 10 Staghounds formed up waiting in cue. Also looks like a column of M5 stuarts bringing up the rear. you can also find a Sherman with a dozerblade and deep water snorkle. I know all these things have M numbers but I'm not looking them up. There's a buffet being setup right now...
 
so many lovely large slow targets and unfortunately no german armor to kaboom them! ;)

No Staghounds there. But there are a number of M-8 Greyhounds. Then the half tracks, ma dueces a 5 ton I think, jeeps, and 3/4 tons.

See, that's why I should have looked them up. Will do that later.

Laura, I'm down to One Panther, Mike has the other now and I'm sure he'll be in Overlord with his Panther. I swapped him for Pips Priller's ride.
 
Would this Stug be appropriate for Normandy?

I read somewhere that Stug IIIs were there in force but if the IVs were there they thought they would have been only a few.:hmmm
If anyone finds anything that says different just let me know,it ain't as if I don't have something else in the stash.:D

Here's some Video of a STUG IV operating on the St. Lo area attached to the 17th SS Panzer Grenadiers.

At 1:47 into th video you start to see a STUG IV. although it does Not appear to have Zimmerit.

Any way .. I meant to add this thread I found on M.L.

It seems that the 17 SS Panz.Gren. Division had some STUG IV's( St. Lo area). There was also the 399th StuG Brigade attached to some FallschrimJager

The entire thread is quite Interesting. A lot of cool facts come out of this one, & It's relatively recent . Considering there's been a Ton of photographic evidence surfacing as well as Units History's printed. I'll also take at look through the Combat History of schwere Panzer-Jager Abt. 654 to see if they had any STUG IV's. There were a lot attached to 12th SS Pnz.Divi. I'll dig aroung & see what I can Find !
