One Down One to Go

Hey ya John , how's it going ?
Yer only sayin , " yummy zombies " cuz people that eat them will go to you to have their teeh cleaned of rancid flesh ................ cuz just brushin with Creat just won't cut it .

The Hiab is from Academy's M113 IDF fitter.
Haven't decided weather I'm gonna place it fore or aft , I'm leaning on fore .
Still needs all the hydrolic plumbing .

Not if it's pto operated or battery operated where the hydrolic resivoir , pumps , batteries , motor are located under the deck and plumbed up through the pedestal . Then only the hydrolic lines to the pistons will be visible .

I'm thinking it is PTO operated and can check the manuals, if you wish.

Allthough I could put a hydrolic resivoir on the pedestal and run lines from that to the controls and then from the controls the booms to the piston cylinders and winch .

Saul , you won't need the pto system if it's all electric run off banks of batteries .
Pto system run would still be under the decks but a longer run to the pedestal from the aft engine .
Whatever the FM is that makes it run , 95% of it will be below deck .

The M579 manual (Australian Fitter's M113) agrees that you can place it anywhere:

True Saul , and all that is under the m113 deck/roof of the hiab which on the fitter is pto powered .

I just wish I could find specs on the LARC-V with Hiab below which is what I got the idea from .
I've searched everywhere and ungots ............

Beautiful find Saul , looks like I've got my next build lined up .
Love the field added extended decks with pontoons !!!
I think I've got the perfect kit for the crane too .
Revell 1/35th scale Mann
Although I might want to scratch this crane in your pics , it's different from a knucke boom .
