NOVO 1/72 Gloster Whittle E28/39 Pioneer

Using RAF interior green as a primer, I sprayed Tamiya LP-48 Sparkling Silver lacquer on the insides of the jet intake and splitter.
Guys! This stuff is amazing for NMF finishes. With the fuselage halves closed up, you cain't see much of it, but it's P-P-P-Purty!

Finished seat with initial IP. (Yes, you're quite right. The belts don't go through a hole in the seat on the real E28/39. "A hint of cockpit", remember?)
Ship Guys are always thinking about actual size in scale, so I usually use my ProModeler decal belts. The P/E belts are 4 inches in scale thickness, but they look cool and I paid for the sumbitches, soooo......

The first go on the translucent instrument detail backing and P/E panel was a touch out of register. No Problem! A dip in Windex and gentle cleaning removes the Future adhesive, and "Do-Over". Better! Little drops of Future made pleasing gauge faces.

Once again dear friends, Into the Breach!
The plastic surgery on RH fuselage half lent itself to a tad more dihedral on the starboard wing. and of course all the panel lines were obliterated, but ever forward, muckers! There are plenty more panel lines to obliterate!
MUHHU HAHA Haha!
For your viewing pleasure!

I Like to mask my gaps and joints in most cases, to keep my Tamiya putty from running amok. Removing the masking tape reveals a more civilized application of putty. See? I use Tamiya Thin cement to thin Tamiya putty and spread it more evenly.
The headrest pad I will add will cover some of the turtledeck seam, but still...................
This is the time to walk away until the putty cures completely.
Don't Rush The Chemicals!!

On kit canopies, I like to black the edges to eliminate the reflective nature of the stock, flat surfaces of injection molded clear parts.
I like to fix my clear kit parts with Future or Tamiya X-22 clear. They make dandy adhesives and won't randomly flow/melt/spread the black Sharpie marker ink all over your old airplane model, inside and out.
