This is my second chance at the Geek Up campaign. The subject will be Bandai's 1/12 R5-D4 droid.

Here is today's process from lunch. This is a nice kit, just like their gundams. Everything is a press fit but glue can be used and recommended for some assembly. I will likely put a dull coat on it and touch up the red, blue and silver parts. The white should be good. I would recommend an ultra fine sanding stick for buffing the parts after the part is trimmed.

I build R5 last Saturday. Sharkman, these are a complete box build that look great when done.
The kit comes with waterslide decals and die cut stickers. I put the stickers on my R5 and he looks awesome.
When are you thinking of tackling R2 Gator?

No paint? :eek:hmy: All those panel lines are begging for dark wash and definition of the part details. Just my opinion.

Carry on. (y)

Today's progress. I've learned some things. R2-D2 will be glued together, specifically the white parts.
