What is the easiest way to mask the exhaust on a jet? The tape usually does ok until it gets to the bottom and then it wont follow the contour.

Paul I usually cut the tape in a narrow strip about 1/8 inch to 1/16 inch wide. This will allow you to follow the contour pretty easy. Then I mask just over top of that in as many pieces as I need to cover the rest.

On complex curves I over mask then cut away what's not needed, hopefully there's a panel line to help guide the cut.
