Making decals with a printer

I just got a new printer yesterday- cannon pixma mx882- ink jet combo. After running off a dozen or so various pages playing I decided to try it out with some ink jet decal paper from my local.

And yes I ran the sheet for that NF-104 that i can't find in America...I based the size on an Airforce shield I had in the stash that I knew was correct.

As far as I can tell it worked! Its drying for a day or so just to be sure, so no pics yet.

Anyone else have any luck?

I use my color laser printer to make dry transfers. It is expensive but not s much as having decal paper melt onto the printer's internal parts!

Regards,

Looking forward to see the result, Is it waterslide decals? after what i have seen (on youtube etc.) before putting them in water coat them first so the ink doesn't float away

acrylic clear spray a couple of thin layers to seal the ink, not to much then the decals get stiff and difficult to work with, i've ordered some sheets too for trying this.
trial and error in the beginning i guess :)

Trial and error are the heart of it for sure- I'll get some spray.
