This is what we'll try to make it look like :

This is what they gave us to work with :

Cheers, For now , Christian B)

Looks like it'll build up into a nice representation.

I'm also glad I'm not the only one who gets bitten by the "lets just mask it together and see what it looks like" bug.

Oh yeah . . . Good to know what you're getting into . :skipper

It would probably be smarter if I learned to use blue tape . :idonno That darn Tamiya tape is just handy though :facepalm

Cheers, Christian B)

And so the journey starts. :snoopy

Ha ! Looks like my second useless post today :rotf

The wheel wells needed painting before gluing the inner piece to the wing .

Surprised me of the color called for ( for an RAF bomber ) Sky gray .

I'll shoot some Future in the AM and glue it in in the AM.

I do this too! Need to get a roll of cheap masking tape just for this. That Tamiya tape gets expensive!

I need to find something different . The blue tape is a bit stiff and has a tendency to pull itself loose at sharper angles.

This kit looks to be pretty nice but I have already found some rough places that needed to be sanded down . Not the high finished quality mold of the Hasegawa or Tamiya for sure.

More priming done this morning :snoopy

Cheers, Christian B)

Looks like a lot higher quality than the FM kit, I pulled it out and it only took a minute for me to figure out why it was languishing in the box, besides needing to make molds for new clear parts it also has some major fit issues. I won't trash your thread with what they are, I'll wait and see if I want to make another run at finishing it and start my own thread.

Hi Gary . While some of this stuff was drying, I decided to dig up this article on the build of this kit.

After reading it again, it looks like it has plenty of issues as well. :blink

I need to build bulk heads, bomb bay and the glass does not fit :frantic Yiiiikes !

Guess I just asked for whatever you might have of the compartments. The article only provides a picture of the cockpit and bomb bay . So much for an easy build

Cheers, Christian B)

Maybe of some use Chris?

So, did you pack your suitcase and leave town ? :D

Nope, that will happen mid April :S

Sorry for the lack ( total ) of bench time . I have been hijacked to a more pressing project by the commander :bang head

Hard wood went down today and it's my house, so I can't run away

Not the only thing either , so it'll be a bit before I get back to it.

Looking at the references from James , it might be a good thing :coolio Thanks James :good:

Cheers, Christian B)

Wow ! Great references James . (y)

Starting to think you guys were serious about wanting me to build this :rotf

I'll be trying to do just that as fast as I'm able to get to it .

Thanks again . Christian B)
