The last couple of nights I have been working on Trumpeter's T66 track. So far it has not been to bad to assemble. There is 79 links per side with two pins per link. Trumpeter supplied a assembly guide so you can do ten links at a time. I have one side assembled as of now.

I ended up using about six and half trees of the pins. Still have nine trees of pins left so that is a good thing

You just push in the pin into one side, then the other side. Most of the time they snap into place. I have had a couple fall out by being a little small. I found if I would put a little glue on the the pin where it meets the sprue and then insert it they would stay.

I also found that if I would gently hold one link while inserting the pin and let the links move some while doing so the assembly is easier.

Thanks for the good vibes everyone! Well i fought through the track and suspension assembly issues (like four of the E8 assemblies falling off a couple of times, two of which fell to the floor and blew apart :pinch: ) I'm posting a quick photo, I still need to finish somethings up on it, but it is going to Nationals! :D I'll update with more photos of the assembly after this weekend.

Here is a quick shot of Fat So Joe :yipee

Okay I'm going to call this done. I still need to do somethings to it and need to get my hands on some darker weather powder, or pigments. That is what I need and want to do to call it really finished and I need to find my Nice tow cable for it, the whole reason I made the paint chip in the concert on the front hull. I did end up dropping the thing as I was working on it Thursday night. Okay this is a tip, if you screw your tank to a base, then remove such screw, remove your tank from the base. I was placing items (assorted junk) around it and I tipped it to the left while holding the base.... :eek:hmy: ...... caught the hull but no the turret. All the brass (some just smashed), Gun barrel came loose and extra lift ring came off. The lift ring ended up in three pieces with just the paint holding it together. Did some fast repair work and called it done. That morning got up and tied some model ship rigging to it and put it in the box for travel to Loveland. I'm pretty happy with most of it. My knocked out part of the concert armor not satisfied with that, as with the stars on the turret, track kicked me around(and looks like it). Missed doing our things to it I could have done or should have. For the most part I really like it. I think the turret really came out well.
