Lockheed C-141

I have been working on this vacuform model since 1980.
I have been saying I would like to finish it before I can no longer do so.
Well, I have some good news.
I had heard rumors that someone had 3D printed the engine fans.
The search was on.
I found them and order 4 sets.
My attempts were making some progress,

But, look at these beauties' compared to my attempts. 2022 may be the year of completion for this beast.

I now have the items to move forward.
Thank you for looking in.

Great improvement!
I have a Guillows DC3 on the bench now for about 4 years. Got all the wood stuff done, but really messed up the engine cowls, nose and windscreen as they are all vac formed. I really struggled with them but alas, futiley, and kind of abandoned it. Vac formed stuff is impossible for me. I applaud your perseverance.

Now I understand why you didn't want the originals molded and cast. Those compressor blades are sweet!!

Having actually visited this space in your very tidy home, I continue to marvel at the fact that the two of us remain fast friends. :vgood:
