Actually, even though I struggle, I think the weathering is the part where I get the most of modelling. This is for me the Moment I try to recreate something that has been used in real life, and I thoroughly enjoy the satisfaction of the "artistic" perception which is required for that. I used to overdo it, so much that the models were barely recognizable. I am toning it down a lot, and I am getting more and more pleased with the results.
The range of magazines "Weathering aircraft" from Ammo of Mig has been tremendously helpful. I would strongly recommend it.

As for the La-5, I am calling it done. Very pleased with the result.
