Barney, when i first started training in engineering my boss said
"An engineer can do for a penny what any dam fool can do for a £1"
its something that always stuck with me especially with the modern tendency to over engineer everything because people still see complicated and detailed as better. The result is nearly everything needs batteries these days
You can have a disposable Cigarette lighter with a gas chamber, inlet valve, adjustable outlet valve, piezo ignitor , steel , brass and plastic components.........or a strike-anywhere match
