Good question. I know both sides had escorts as I have read of both sides meeting up at a point and then flying top cover or escort but I thought the bigger birds flew too high. Need to research that a bit. Love this because is fugly and looks so ungainly. Huge wingspan here also.OMG James!

Congrats on getting you G.I James! I am waiting to go to the Nationals as Wingnut Wings are supposed to be there this time. We will see what is around the corner and go from there.
Wants are a Dornier kit from Zoki Mura and a couple of Wingnut kits. That is about all at this time.

My local shop (Frontline Hobbies) where I get all my kit's have in the last few months become a stockist for Wingnut wing's.This shop is one of the largest in Australia (If not the largest) and have been trading since the 80's and W/nut has only now let them become a authorized seller of their product's.
Apparently they are very particular as to who they chose as a stockist.
When I saw them on the shelf for the first time I went all twitchy an started to drool (had to go have a lay down) :drool They even stock the aftermarket decal set's if you don't like the ones in the box :yipee
It's odd that you got that kit jknaus as I was seriously eye balling that today myself but ohh the price

I finally got fed up not being able to find stuff in my old workbench space...
So I bit the bullet and UPS delivered this last week...
Which, once unboxed looked like this..
And all assembled and basically moved back in...
This really forced me to clean out all the old stuff. Found a few missing tools too!
Now back to that Panzer II

OK, went looking for this thread and it has vanished from the recent list and the Modeler's Lounge, not to be found.
So,
I cheated and linked to it from an e-mail. (More 'n one way to make it work. )
Some more goodies came in last week and one item has been posted for review.
Yeah the Revell Spitfire is a repop of the old Matchbox one and I will be getting the cockpit AM set for it. Still cheaper than the Tamiya Mark XIV.

I gave $25 for mine and think it might have been pre-owned. It isn't that expensive a kit. I think it can be had for under $35 at most.
