Nice scores Fellers ... Very nice Tools & stuff, James and some nice armor in your corner Jeff, Looking forward to a Kewl Build ...

Me I'm still working on the 1 to 1 truck .... Too cold outside !!! But I received My '39 1/48 Mercedes-Benz 540 K

It's an old Renwal kit ... But so hard to find 1/48 scale models ... and that's what I need for My Gas station build ... (y)

Now that's a cool little kit. I had no idea they even made these.

Thanks Ryan ... They were made back in the sixties ... (No Barcode on the box) ... or before this company was bought by Revell ... 1/48 vehicles are hard to find ... but may 2' X 4' module needs some scale cars ...

This is more than just a figure set!
Trumpeter00434Box1.JPG

Looking at the rear of the box, we see that it has seven sprues (one in flexible vinyl/polystyrene mix for vent winter covers), photo-etched brass, decals, and hose material. Aside from figures with weapons, there are also two alternate war heads for R-17 rocket in kit 01019. These are the 9N33 and 8F14.

I'm sure many of us had put aside a Trumpeter GAZ-66 truck and ZU-23-2 gun to combine them. Trumpeter does it for you and eclipses the old Eastern Express kit of this combination.

This kit finally made it after so much development. You all know I had been announcing it for years!

These last two are 3D puzzle models given to my son by his godfather (Dewertus) for Christmas:

Latest Acquisitions

James, you don't need to be first. I predict the figure's price will drop before the self-propelled missile launcher. Give it time. While they look great on the sprue trees, let's see what was actually provided. do you want a look inside in the meantime?

This is one I want. The crew is not as important. Yes please can you show it off?
I see Spread Brothers has them today, but still looking at around $260 can for the scud. Guess I'll be passing especially with the rate of exchange and price of new kits.

Well I hope this will help me improve my pics. Older camera is starting to get a bit iffy and I cant do close ups too well. So also got a macro lens for it.

Wow that really looks nice James! Should do well for you! I have used the Nicon COOLPIX L24 for quite a while to take my photos and really like it. Have an L30 as well but it doesn't seem to work as well for the close up stuff.

Now practice, practice, practice. :D

Neat. What do you think of the Rare Wheels book?

Meanwhile I got this replica Blue Max yesterday for a little vignette idea. Unfortunately the ribbon is too short.

What do you think of the Rare Wheels book?

Expensive but really good. It is nice to see someone who can identify the soft skin vehicles provide meaningful captions. I was hoping to see images of the Tempo G1200 but I guess that will be in one of the future books. It does provide inspiration for all the staff cars available nowadays such as Tamiya (Simca and Citroen), Bronco (Fiat & Horch), ICM (Krupp, Henschell, Stoewer, Horch and others), Zvezda (GaZ and Buusing-Nag), Dragon (Opel), AFV Club (Bussing-Nag), Italeri (Opel, Horch, Mercedes), and MiniArt (GAZ series, Opel, and other staff cars).
