Have some updates on new acquisitions. (yeah I finally figured out how to spell it) :facepalm

A couple of days after the last haul at my local hobby shop I went by and discovered a real nice little Arado kit.
Then it was avoid like the plague for a while so as to NOT spend money. A week ago I finally gave in and went back by to see what was left. (A LOT!)
This time I went through the AM stuff and there was boxes FULL of stuff.

Yeah you got it spent more. :smack So here it is:

I am basically trying to ONLY get stuff to go along with what I already have. Did mostly well though the AM crack is worse than the kit plastic crack. Will have to run by this week and pick up one PE set I found for the ZM He219 that I did not get with the kit. (made sure)

Also with the WNW Hannover selling out I decided I better try and get the kits I want a little at a time while I can. We will see how that goes.

Man you must have a pretty well stocked hobby shop for them to be sportin' all that AM stuff. Score!

While the shop is a fairly well stocked store overall, this stuff is still from the HUGE consignment that the store is still working to sell off. Getting to go to the hidden area and dig through all the goodies is a benefit due to always being above board and honest with the owner. Earning trust takes a little work, Keeping that trust is as simple as always doing the right thing and being honest and above board. Loosing that trust would cost a whole lot more than I could ever gain otherwise.

I have found that honesty always pays off.

Revell's Salamander kit is fairly simple, but in all the builds I have seen it looks to be a decent kit. I will probably add the Aeries resin detail set and the Eduard interior. After discovering how poor some C&K products are (when I was building my Ju88) I won't be using any of their stuff unless I can check it out first. In other words no mail order C&K stuff for this kit.

I will also do some searching for alternate decals, but there isn't really a lot of striking differences in the markings on the aircraft.

Me too the Packard is for my Texas Outlaws On30 module ... also have My eyes on a 1:48 1937 Mercedes ...

The boxes of Willy's are leftover parts from one of Jeff's builds gonna use them for the wild Willy's tilt cab build ... I had forgotten all about until yesterday ... It's Hell getting old .... :laugh:

Took tuesday off for my birthday. Spent the greater part of it cleaning up and adjusting some scans that Tracey White over at model ships forum had scanned and posted on his researcher@large site. The originals being quite aged and yellowed to the point where they were basically brown and are quite difficult to read. :hmmm So it was time for a little magic.

I was able to clean up and adjust the drawings to about 97% quality from the 50-60% they were originally. I also have scaled them to 1/200 scale and an odd scale that would print out on legal size paper. Those are in acrobat files but not uploaded yet. The original scans are located here.
These are what the original scans look like.

I also went to my local money pit, ... I mean hobby shop and treated myself. I picked up 2 books on the Gotha bomber, 2 books on the Arado 234 a big HGW PE set for my WNW Focker D.VII and a WNW Albatross D.V. (yeah the one that's out of production)

Am at work so some photos tonight.
