I have seen that somewhere. Some sort of clamp.

Warm...

....is it a torturing tool?

Um... no.

Looks like it'd be great for bending thin brss strip or small diameter tubing.

Well, it does use strip metal...

Yes they could be, S L I C K.

Not my idea. When James K posted the link to the Paul Budzik videos, I went exploring his site and found this page:
http://paulbudzik.com/tools-techniques/Matrix-Bands/matrix-band.html

This had me looking for my clamps but I couldn't find them. I work at a hospital with a dental clinic but they're about to do inventory and these things are cheap on eBay.

Also, thanks to the Paul Budzik videos, I upgraded my cheap #4 & 36 scalpel handles for an original Bard-Parker quality #6 knife and actual Swann-Morton #25A blades.

On top of this, I bought boxes of 100 #24 & #25 scalpel blades plus an OR ready #6 scalpel handle.

Anyone for a three way showdown between the cheap one I bought against the better two?

It doesnt look bad. From what I have read so far it isn't too bad. It isn't a WNW kit for sure. I have a new seat coming and am getting the new Gaspatch machine guns for it. I'll look at an engine maybe although this is a pretty good start. With a bit of work it should come out nicely. The biggest things I can see looking at it so far are a very poor seat and horrible guns. Luckily there are am replacements for these.
Oh and I have read the decals suck, but looking at them they seem okay. There are a number of am decal sheets available.
