another Labonte car in progress!. i got this one decaled and will let those sit a few days and then clearcoat it, and add the grill's after I clearcoat it and polish it

I have everything clear coated ( I use dupli-color- acrylic enamel clear) and am working on polishing it up

heres the hood
I wetsand with 2000 grit until there is no more glossy spots. then rub it out with tamiya coarse compound, and finish with turtle wax polishing compound

Very nice! I really really envy you guys that end up w/ such gorgeous finishes. I've never gotten anything that close, but so far I haven't tried polishing any of them out. I should pull out a kit and a set of decals that I don't care much about, just to practice w/ and see if I can pull it off.
 
when you clear over decals. put 2 coats on and then give it a sanding then apply a few more coats. thats the only way to eliminate the "edge" where the decals are. if you dont sand between coats it will always be there
