Question time again.
Guys-N-Gals,would the flaps, ailerons, slats, & rudder be in the neutral position, or could they be posed?
Thanks!!!

They could be up down left right. Usually the pics I've seen the ailerons are neutral. The leading edge flaps though are spring loaded and would probably hang some. From what I've read the ground crew would push them up, but they would drop a bit. Maybe after flight one would be a bit crooked but that was fixed right away.

The leading edge flaps though are spring loaded ...

Actually, they weren't. The rest of your answer is perfect. See here (click it, you know you want to...):

Regards,

Link didnt work Saul. They're gravity right?? Just fall down, but as air flow changes over them they would retract / extend based on the angle of attack, airspeed etc?? Dont know why I said spring loaded, those would stay up unless a spring was getting weak. I've heard one of the things affected by age is....darn, I cant remember.

Thanks James for the head up, the link has been corrected. Yes, they are gravity reacting.

Both... early in the war, it was stretched and doped linen over an aluminum frame (form and ribs). Later in the war (much after the E-1 model) the rudder, flaps, and other components were replaced with wood (as long as the weight difference did not affect the aircraft's center of gravity).

Thanks Saul!!!:) Being doped linen, would there be any difference in paint? Would doped linen, fade more or less than painted over aluminum?

Revi is a GREAT magazine from the Czech Republic! Anyway, the link you posted makes it be known that the film is colorized.

Thanks James. I hope you don't mind my editing your post to display the images.
