Kaizen Tracks by J-Pak Workshop

Tony lee

Master at Arms
Three models right now, T-80 for the M4A3EB/M51, the German Panther and the Russian T34.

My M-43 needed tracks and these were offered to me for free and after today I know why. :bang head

The Box with your instructions right on the label.

The box contains a bunch of trees and a pack of 0.5mm brass rod that you have to cut into 16.5mm lengths for track pins.

The track pads and guide horns are two parts each that you glue together.

After gluing those parts together.

The instructions for the first step tells you to insert the two pins through the holes in the guide horns.

Then slide the pins through the pads.

Make sure the cleats are running in the same direction.

Here comes the fun part installing those tiny end caps.

The caps are a press fit so no glue necessary to hold them in place.

Now repeat repeat repeat the about steps over and over and over.

Don't even expect the T-80 tracks to fly together because they are a PITA to assemble. :eek:hmy:
They look realistic, fit the sprocket very well plus they're about half the price of any metal tracks.

I'm thinking i'll be a very old fart by the time these get completed and installed on the model.

Thanks for checking out my Kaizen experience.
Tony lee :)

PS:

Looks familiar. :rotf

Like I said, they look like they build up into really nice tracks but DAMN...

Much better review can I could do Tony, well done sir (y)

I was thinking that if Friul could do us the pads and guide horns in one piece it would be a great product, but probably cost more than the kit it's upgrading.

Folks I was a ball of fire today :D Only took 4 1/2 hrs to do 18 links :woohoo:
I got up twice to empty the bladder and refill my coffee cup and right back to the bench.

Fun was had by all :eek:hyeah
Tony lee :)

Tony.
Thanks for the review. It is a real shame there are no easy T80 or T85 tracks out there. :bang head
