I Bless the Rains Down in Africa

Can anyone help me - I'm looking for pictures or drawing of M41 Walker Bulldog in the service of South Africa, Somalia or Tunisia...
Sorry but South Africa never used Walker Bulldogs It was a theory that was totaly unfounded In truth Armor as a whole was nefer really fielded by the SADF as the cost and ease of use dis not follow our military doctrine of speed That speed could only be achieved by wheeled vehicles at that time. The only big Armor to Armor clash in the war on the Namibian border/Angola the wheeled APC and 90mm Ratels out shot most of the russian armor anyway

Sorry but South Africa never used Walker Bulldogs...

Thank SA Dave!

I contacted the Workshop Supervisor/Workshop Manager/Senior restorer at Ditsong Museums of South Africa, Stephen Tegner, who concurred what Dave said plus added he didn't know of any other African nation which used the Walker light tank.

Regards,

While looking for some Walker tanks in African service, I came across this photo:

Hey, it looks like my T-34B where it stands now! I should simply paint it and pick up my ribbon as a T-34B in Somali service!

Joking, of course!

Regards,

Reminds me a bit of the first car I ever owned. a 1966 Buick Special station wagon

that is tough! In doing some pics-looks via Goggoel, I found this on this (thetrentfile.com) shwing what they purport to be an M41 in Somalia

(EDIT: The more I look at this first tank, the more it looks like a Patton, FYI...)

at this site: https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=411107&start=25

but that was all, and I am not promising this to be all correct. just "calling it as I found it" so to speak

Finally i found info that on the "black land" M41 was used by:
Ethiopia: 54
Somalia: 10
Sudan: 53; donated by Saudi Arabia in 1981.
Tunisia: 12

So, if anybody have photo or drawing one of above pls let me know...

If Sudan doesn't repainted donated tanks i can make one of them basis on the Saudi Arabia M41

Somalia also used the M-47 which they bought from Iran. Lost them all. Thats what I will make to go with the Somaliland T-54B I have to finish.

Be wary of that site which is using GIF completely unrelated to Africa as filmed by someone for ALM. The first Huey is from footage showing a mini-gun in action for a TV show:
