Thanks guys. Got the big ol' engine put together during lunch. I also found my reference photo of the car color and the pennant that was used later on in the series. Anybody got an idea of the color on the car?

Kenny, I'd suggest starting with shades of dark gray and then lighten the panels and such by adding a little white or deck tan to the mix. Klink, how would you like to spend some time in ze coolah?

Thanks for the help with the color guys. I forget that I have a Vallejo color sample book. Taking your suggestions, I looked through the grays and blue grays and found that Vallejo was a pretty good match. I can pre-shade with intermediate blue or French Mirage blue.
