Hello all

Flitefreak

Beginner
Good evening and thank you for the add. Ive been a scale modeler for about 30ish years now, im in transition between careers and always looking for more communities that are modeling centric. Sometimes I feel its the closest we get to experience lost history, being able to have our own little artifacts at home. I build ships, planes and military ground equipment. My stash is probably bigger than I have time to ever build, yet it still grows. I am by no means an expert, if anything I consider myself a mediocre modeler. Cheers, and thank you again. I look forward to seeing what everyone has and their respective projects.
Daniel

Hey Daniel welcome aboard! I'm Bob, the guy who keeps the lights on here.

Looks like you have a wide range of interest, that's always fun to see build. They all are models I always say.

Say who's that squared away Marine (I think that's a Marine uniform) .

What line of work are you in? Where do you hail from?

Welcome Daniel! We have a good group here that work to share tips, reference, and if wanted constructive critiques. (Yeah, photos show all kinds of things that we don't notice while building) Anyway, the whole point is to be helpful to each other so that we can solve problems, or find reference for something we are building. In the process we also have fun and laugh a bit about the things that we are working on.
The whole point is that this is a hobby and as long as the person building the project is having fun, that is what is most important.

Welcome to our merry band of model makers! There are experts and beginner about. Never be afraid to ask questions. We are by and large a helpful cheery lot!

Thank you for the warm welcome Bob and outting together this community. Youve got a good eye, that'd be my Grandfather. He served in the marines from 47'-59'. Myself, I am wrapping up 23 years in the Air Force. I was in heavy aircraft maintenance, so my entire time in I was on C17s and C130Js aside from my stint at the schoolhouse. I am originally from Southern California, but am presently in Central Texas until my oldest graduates college.
Cheers
Daniel

Thank you for your service! You'll find a lot of us are vets to some degree or another. I was in Grand Forks in the early 80s, after all this time I still don't know who I pissed off.
