I just scored this on Easy Bay for 16.99 American- I jumped because I found the thing with 15 minutes left and NO bids- Hannants lists this kit #80541 as going for around 14 pounds, so thats near my total.

Never built a Heller kit before, any regrets?

The Heller kit may be the Airfix one reboxed. If so, it is a simple kit superseded by Hasegawa's offering. I had the larger kit which was the best in 1/32nd scale until, again, Hasegawa's offering makes it obsolete (Hasegawa has released the later variants and may release the B and R next).

Have fun and enjoy the model

Regards,

Oh I will- thanks Saul. The photo etch and the metal parts sold me on this-When I get it I'll pop it open and post the pics here so all can see it.

It was a trance song, least I think that's what they call it. It was some Nordic Thor looking dude walking down the road. I may have songs confused...

Well I got the plane today, it looks fair. The PE was not included but i did get the white metal parts covering the machine gun, ammo carts, sirens, front wheel struts and the gunners seat. Seller claime the PE was never in the kit-so this may have come from an estate sale- if this is the airfix kit reissued will a PE set for Hasegawa fit?

I have the kit and I'm going to build this one soon but I'll try to find something else for it.

True Details makes an affordable PE set, number 26027, for it. Don't waste your money on their flattened wheels as they should be weighted, not flattened!

Here is a guy adding his own details:

we see that the PE contains some screens for the oil cooler, seat belts, and the rollover brace. However, building the rollover brace as in the previous link is the way to go.

You could buy a set of Ultracast exhausts for the kit too.

Regards,

Thanks Saul- i really blow with PE, so scratching seems best for my skill. I have a copy of the sheet on the instructions so the seat belts and other flat shapes should be no real issue. Thanks again.
