I do wonder if the door opened when hydraulics were turned off and the system pressure dropped. Like on the Mustang.

Yeah, it helps with the carrier landings. Bit of a headache when it gets out of phase in turbulence though.What a neat idea, spring mounted cockpit. Comfy ride.![]()
