Hasegawa 1/32 P-40E. Update 6-3

IP sorted. Now, one series of pictures show a breaker panel on the starboard side of the cockpit. Not sure about that. I have seen photos with the breaker panel, radio and electrical equipment, and almost bare.

Hasegawa 1/32 P-40E. Time to update. The frames are in. Need to think on the fuel tank.

Fuel tanks? :popcorn

@fightnjoe this is the fuel tank on the P-40E:

A video showing the fuel tank installation during a restoration:

I hope this helps and not hinders.

Saul right. Trying to figure out how to make it look right without compromising the bulkheads. Thinking separate pieces for either side, glued to the bulkhead. The shape isnt right either.

Ok Saul here is another but kind of specific. Do you have anything showing the area from the access door aft on and aircraft with the SCR 183 radio equipment?

Probably... which access door?

If it is this one:

You can always block the view with the duffel bag!

Or, do you want something along these lines?

As for the radio... where did you get the information about the SCR-183? I only found it in use with the plain P-40 and the P-40G. The earliest of P-40E had the SCR-283 - perhaps a typo? After a short run, the radios were switched to the SCR-264N with the exception of P-40E-1 built to British standards. These had the TR-9D transmitter while the US ones had the following, according to the manual:

Does this help?

Ok that is where my confusion lies. I've done the -E before and looking at pictures I was confused. The one I am thinking of is the SCR 264N. I have the sets confused.

Joe.

Ok, what I attempted was the SCR 274 N. Some things were wrong in the attempt. It does look like the right set though. Going to have to redo what I had on the go for this time. I had thought it was either the 183 set or the 274 and based on one picture it looked like the 183. Definitely a rabbit hole.
