I read an article a few years ago about the police in Sydney, NSW setting up impaired driving check points during the morning commute, 6 to 10 AM. They were catching more drivers then than they did at night.

People going out bar hopping until closing at 2 AM or later, crashing at a friend's place and then driving to work or home to change after a few hours of sleep were still legally impaired.

Our unit followed the "12 hour bottle to throttle" rule for anyone involved in flight operations and everyone on the org chart from the CO down to the new admin clerk in the Orderly Room was involved in flight operations.

We have thoroughly enjoyed having you join us every time you have been in the meet Ian. The different perspectives and all are good to hear. Plus to those living in the US you have an enjoyable accent to listen to. :vgood:

Thanks Paul, its good to know that I am not sounding to Ozzie - i do worry that I may not be easily understood over an internet connection with my accent.:)
Yeah, Barney was quietly observing in the top corner and was suddenly gone. :-(
 
I'm trying to find an old photo album (remember those?) that I had to chronicle my commission builds which were mostly Eastern European aircraft for military guys. ALL the photos are in black and white so a bit funny! It may be fun for me to reminisce.

we'll have a link to a google meeting up at the top of this page when we decide a time of day.
We've gone early AM east coast time so Ian can join but that makes it had for our west coast folks. There's a sweet spot for a global meeting at about 4pm east coast.
