Gonna be a Secret Santa Gift Exchange this year?

:hmmm now you got me thinking.

I actually have no problem with something like that. I never really considered that some guys don't want anything, they just want to give some kits to a deserving individual who may not have the disposable income for "frivolous" purchases. Shouldn't be too hard to incorporate.

Like I said, there's plenty of time to sort everything out between now and then.

Just as a side thought, I've been in a few of these over the years and have seen them go fantastically and sometimes not so great (not for me personally), but the best one was more of a stash exchange. Instead of a limit or ideal target value, the only requirement was that it was something from your stash, whether it be a kit, or kit plus AM, etc.

It makes it more affordable for most, especially around the holidays. Instead of kit plus shipping to you, only to rebox and ship out, it's more streamlined. I know the way I work, a new kit comes out, I grab it, wait for the resin and PE, grab them, get a reference pile, grab the right decals and paint, then never build it because something else shiny comes along. It sits on a shelf with the 20 other 'must build' collections. Much better to forward it to someone and have a campaign based on it. :drinks

That's the beauty of this. It can come from your stash. I've been a part of these things for over six years and I'm pretty sure every kit I received was from someone's stash. I've even given from my own. There was only a couple times where I had to go shopping and once was because my guy was into sci-fi and I didn't have anything.

Hell, last year I gave Ryan(Nerdling) a Tamiya Corsair from my stash and he managed to get it featured in FSM.
