Hi all,

If a StuG or StuH has two antenna (antenna's / antenee :blush: ) are they the same lenght? How long should they be and if they are different lenghts wich goes where?

Hope I made some sence :laugh:

Well, I'm not an experten in radios, but I think you first has to know wich radio carry a StuG or StuH (BTW, when I build my Dragon's StuH with zimmerit, I was told that Dragon's instructions was wrong...there not exist Befehl StuHs)

In one of the links, is stated:

LES STUG. : Les StuG.III Ausf.B et jusqu'à l'Ausf.D ont un ensemble radio de type FuG 16 (Ukw. E.h et 10 WS.h). À partir de l'Ausf.E, tous les StuG. sont équipés des FuG 16 et FuG 15 (Ukw. E.h). Le FuG 15 comprend le récepteur Ukw.E.h avec le convertisseur E.Ua et l'antenne de 2 m sur pied d'antenne. À partir de 1941, les StuG. sont équipés d'un interphone de bord. Les StuG. arrivent an masse afin de palier les manques de panzers, on leur ajoute dans certains cas (au sein des Panzer-Divisionen) l'ensemble radio FuG 2 et le FuG 5 avec les interphones équipant normalement les panzers.L'ensemble FuG 8 qui augmente très sensiblement la portée des communications est également installé dans certains StuG..

Thanks alot for the info!! My French isn't perfect, but what I understand is that a StuG or StuH with two radio sets, carry two 2 mtr antennas?

I covered this pretty well in MMiR issue 42-43. Basically DML's new tooled stugs are radio'd as command vehicles. Thus you can add a stern antenna tothe left mount I you want. You can also use two 2m atenna or just one on the commanders side.
