I did 2 kits last year so your one should be good to go. Might have to pull out one of the other Tie fighters I have in the stash.

I've wondered about these kits.

Going to be fun to watch your build

These are awesome kits; excellent detail and fit. They are so nice after building one, they can become addicting! Another TIE should be arriving with tomorrow's mail :v

The first step of construction is the crew capsule, so here we go :soldier

The tub was painted with a Gunze medium grey, given a dark wash and dry brushed to pick up the detail. The back to back seat unit as well as the instrument columns were sprayed with Mr. Paint Artic grey, which is a very light grey, washed and dry brushed. The seat cushion was done in a Tamyia tan (I just grabbed what was on the table).

The outer walls of the capsule. These were painted Tamyia German Grey, washed, dry brushed, and the decals applied. After a coat of flat, the decal instrument panels were over coated with Tamyia gloss to try to help them stand out more.

Ben & Jerry painted; Gunze Black primer for the basic color, the cloth areas of the uniform were dry brushed with dark grey. The helmet and shoulder patch decals were applied and the armor sections of the uniforms were brushed with Tamyia gloss. The breathing hoses were painted Tamyia Sky Grey and the valves were done in Tamyia silver, as well as the details on the chest pack. The silver areas on the chest pack were then coated with Tamyia clear green, blue and red.

The crew added and the pilots instrument columns added. The screen details are the kit supplied decals, and the screens on the left (barley visible) were coated with Tamyia clear green.

The upper structural component added, starting to get cramped in there.

The front and rear walls of the crew capsule added, all that detail pretty much disappears :side:

Pretty much what you can see, I used some silver and black to highlight some details on the back of the instrument columns.

I had a lot of fun putting this together and picking out the details, even if a lot of will never be seen again :idonno

Well, better late than never :idonno I was on track to get tis finished on time as I had some time off over Easter weekend. Alas, very, very early Good Friday morning I ended up at the hospital with what turned out to be a case of Diverticulitis, a very uncomfortable and unpleasant intestinal infection it turns out. Between the discomfort in my abdomen and the pain meds I was done for the weekend, and it took some time after that for everything to return to normal. Hence, not much modeling got done, anyway, this weekend I stuck all the parts together and painted and assembled the base and here she is.....

This was a decent little kit that went together pretty well aside from several misstept on my part that were overcome. In the end I am mostly happy with how it turned out. Now, off to torture some more plastic :soldier

Sorry to hear about the hospital stay. Hate it when that happens! Glad to see you are back at it and were able to finish this up. Turned out quite nice! (y)

Maybe with a Doctor excuse we can allow this finish for the ribbon.

Glad you're feeling better Ernie. (y)
