Finally getting some Attention on my back!

Well, some of you have known me a long time & know I have medical problems (and mental problems too :gogo ) Well, this past year I've been seeing a Dr on a regular basis at the local clinic. Dr. K was my primary for the 1st 6 months & he left the clinic a few months ago & left abruptly So, have been dealing with Marty since then & I like her, she's good too!! :drinks
Well, Dr. K was going to set me up with a specialist about my back which has taken a beating over the years. Well, when he left, there was nothing noted in my file about it or anything else that he had planned so, back to square 1 with Marty.
She just upped my Blood pressure pills & pain pills. Asked the right questions & told her about my visiting my cousin a couple weeks ago &how he pulled out his .44 mag & we headed down the driveway to shoot it off & Jerry had to drive me up to the house Yeah, only an 1/8th of a mile & fairly steep.
I feel comfortable talking with Marty about what's going on & that she understands I don't like Drs, hospitals, etc. especially after the run around I got in Stockton. (They stereotyped everybody!) I'm after relief from what ails me first & foremost not drugs.
Good ol' country Drs are alot better than city quacks in my opinion
I'm also working on getting Social Security because of my back, that's been in the works about 8 months now & got my 1st denial last month so, we'll see what happens. Now I gotta run off & see the drug [strike]connection[/strike] store & pick up more meds... Dr upped my Blood pressure pills & such hyeah :drool

Thanks James. Yeah, pain is no good. I've been dealing with this for years & it's finally catchin' up to me so, it's time to do something about it. This isn't the worst pain I've experienced but, it's the longest running.

The social security people only understand one thing, Lawyers. Get you one that does SS law and claims. I waited almost three years before I did and six months later bang! I got my settlement.
I am glad you have some one that can take care of you and your back, Eddy.

Thanks Paul. I've thot of doing this a few yrs ago but, I didn't want to screw up my chances of getting back into drivin' truck. Well, that endeavor went belly up so, now I'm traveling this road. It's gonna be hard & yeah, I gotta find me a good lawyer...

Remember when I met up with Bud a few months back? Well, he was in a townhouse apartment upstairs/downstairs.His room was upstairs & I had a tadbit of a problem climbing all them stairs as they were pretty steep. (think they're supposeta be like 10 degrees, those were like 18-20!)

As a kid, I raced dirtbikes... YZ-80s, 125 & 360 Enduros. Many a wipe outs, a shade tree mechanic & usually pulled small block & 4 cyl engines w/out a cherry picker. Plus, truck & trailer mechanic, truck driver, loading/ off loading (lumper), lots of manual labor & several car accidents over the yrs. Yeah, it's caught up with me.

Got a call from the Physical Therapist's office earlier seems I got an appointment with them tomorrow! :huh: B) finally! A step in the right direction!! :dance :drinks Yet, I am a bit nervous... :frantic

After two Steroid shots in the spine it only hurts when I stand for too long ... When this thing was at it's worst I was doubled over ... And I know your pain dude so hang in there and see what they can do to fix your ails ...

Yeah, I've been dealing with Ciatica (however ya spell it) since 1987. Pinched nerve in lower back that feels like fire down the back of my right leg which kicks in big time when I twist the wrong way & that seems to be happenin' alot more lately.
I have a hard time sitting/ standing for long periods. I realized this earlier this year when I went to Sacramento airport (2 hours away) I neededa pain pill by the time I got there! I was hurtin' purty good.

The last time I drove 18wheeler a couple-3 yrs ago I ran a flatbed trailer & had to climb up on it to add some "v"boards while tying down & it took alot outta me. THought to myself, I musta got spoilt runnin' them reefers but, the whole time my back talked to me.

Hopefully I can get the relief that I so want from this!! I told my DR I don't really care for meds, I just want relief. I think that surprised her...

Well, II'm back At least I done survived This time Spent most of the time yakinit up & then she went onto the touchy-feelie stuff Oh she got some very nice, soft hands & what a grip!! hmy: Had me do some excercises & wants me to come back in twice a week :S Ok, I'll give this a shot & see how it goes....

I feel your pain, literally! I have 20% disability from the VA for back and neck injuries. Stairs don't bother my back, but I cannot sit unsupported for more than 30 minutes... then it is time for the Pain Pills!

Good luck with the jokers at Social Security. Paul's right, they will deny you overtime, regardless of the evidence; but as soon as the lawyers get involved... they settle.
