Do those include the propylene figures (shiny plastic that is impossible to sand, paint, and glue)? If so, I remember having to shave seams, sculpt recesses, and cut with a new blade, dip in thin CA glue to coat them so I can work and paint. Later, I learned to cast them in plaster and pour myself copies. Good ol' days... NOT!

I think the sandbagged M48's look more like bunkers on tracks, I would do a little display with engineers coming under fire while sweeping for mines.

Lets play with the saw. I hacked off some of the fenders and filled the holes to the tool boxes with scrap sheet styrene. Then ground on them with a Dremel some. Still need to fill the turret race.

Love it! Thanks for the memories too, I have several sets of those troops, some are even painted.

One suggestion if you do want to paint them: Dip them all in a mixture of water and white glue (Elmer's type) and let them dry. Then add the paint. This helps keep the paint flexible so that it doesn't flake off when handled or flexed.

Did some detailing this weekend. I'm struggling with a sleep pattern so I did not get as much as I wanted done.

Detailed the air filters with styrene strip and rod.

I cut down into the engine deck to add some welds

Filled the gap between the upper and lower hulls with styrene strip from the scrap pile.

I mixed up some 3M spot putty thinned with lacquer thinner the start of casting texture

Did some texturing before I went to bed

I ended using a blend ("Blend" is a fancy way of saying I mixed 3M and Tamiya putty not on purpose.) I was mixing in an adult beverage cap and while mixing there got to be more caps, that may have helped. :drunks: :drinkIt's Top Secret stuff now.
I'm not going to do much more on the turret as sandbags will be covering the rest

Same on the hull, I used my secret "bend" of 3M and Tamiya putty for the casting texture
