Elefant in 1/35 by Dragon - tracks 'n stuff

Elefant in 1/35 by Dragon - Camo

I would say that the unpredictability is what will add interest anyway.

By the way, a good coat of cured Future would do the same as the hair spray

Looking quite nice (y)

That is definitely an idea I had not considered for dust, will have to try it. Looks really good, Bill! (y)

Future will not come off like the hairspray, so unless you're looking to seal the dust, I would not use Future. The idea behind hairspray is that it's water soluble and will release as you scrub it.

Thanks, Christian!
Thanks, Mike!
Thanks, Gator!
Thanks, Tom!
Thanks, Bob!
Thanks Dusan!
Thanks SA Dave! Stay warm.

The hairspray and dust job left it kind of flat and rough, so I gave it a coat of Tamiya clear (gloss) so the pin wash would run in the cracks and details. (I could not find my bottle of Future. “?”).

So here it is, one pin wash later. I’ll touch it up and then figure out what to do next. (Effects with oils, and some scratching, I guess).

Have a safe and sane 4th of July everyone! (y) (y) (y) …and thanks for looking. B)

Cheers,

You can see the depth in the paintwork 'happening' with the pin-wash. Nice work Bill.

Thanks Luiz!
Thanks Ian!
Thanks Sherm!

Lets dust this off, and get it back in action for 2016.

Fruil tracks were pre- blackened prior to assembly. I did it this way so the CA glue doesn't mask the blackening fluid. :idonno
I like to cut all the pins before hand so I can get an assembly line going when I’m putting them together. I cut the soft brass wire with a sharp #11. It works better than my spru cutters.

The Hull got a fading with oil dots and white spirit. The figures got their base coats of paint as well.

See ya down the road. (y)

Thanks for looking! :good:

Cheers,

Bill
