Interesting but my guess its PC based so unless you have a dedicated gaming PC it will stutter along like all the others
I have "rise of flight" and i cant run it on my PC. I have all the power i need for it to work as a PC, 3GHZ Pentium R and 3GB RAM + 2.5GB graphic but because you have to run Windows which just gets bigger and bigger, in the background, half your system power is waisted before you start. Seem to me they need to start developing these games for PS3 etc which are more games dedicated. with all you internet now on TV anyway how long has the PC got a a home platform i wonder.

how many hours did I spend on a flight sim? Falcon3, PAW, EAW, Longbow series, Red Baron even MS flight sim.

I dare say that trying to get the best frame rate out of a flight sim is what got me started on learning computer hardware, trying to squeeze the last k of memory out of that 640k in dos.

Andy, is this a stand alone sim or is it like that World of Tanks where you can't even poke around without being blown to smithereens?

Cool, might have to try that. Of course though I do get to fly a really cool flight sim every day at work though  :D

Already been testing it for several months. Overall it isn't bad. Framerate has never been bad on my stock laptop.

Yea we had a Game called EF2000 that ran in DOS here 15 years ago and its frame rate was perfect on 12k ram..:)

Bob same interface as world of tanks....been playing last few days and its very addictive.

I don't think you have to have a mega game machine to play but of course helps if you're pc specs are high

Suffice to say I am having a blast playing....

It's free..check it out.

According to the mags and blogs and with Valve launching the steambox it seems that the PC as a gaming medium is again gaining momentum. I personally prefer my PC to game barring my intermittent system crashes...bloody thing !

So what have you been flying Andy? I've been sticking with a zero on there and it just rips stuff apart. Of course if I get sneezed on I get blown up and burn to death.

Well only a few days in so I'm still learning...had to start in the jolly old RAF biplanes of course but I've been whizzing about in the peashooters yesterday.....I love the mountains and canyon maps cos I can swoop down from above. Intially I was crashing more than being shot down but now got the hang of flying better and getting ummm shot down.
As a rule I don't like flight Sims but this floats my boat and spending a few chillout hours after work..... Ahem I should be finishing off my Russian figure instead ;)

Only critic I have to say about is that takes ages to rank up....however that being said perhapes more me than the game...unless you have some good tips and advice for your Brit chum....
Tally Ho !

It seems like it takes ages to rank up. If you go premium and pay for the game it will speed it up a bit. But honestly I don't think it matters much. I just try and go after planes I know my plane can handle. Not worth trying to go after a ME 262 in a Peashooter (ask me how I know) lol

Another tip Andy. Never fly in a straight line. Took me the longest time to figure that out. Now I fly like a drunk lol.

Bloody hell Andy what have you done, now iam addicted.

What a good game the only problem is my kids are cranky because they can't get on the computer.
