first thing was the gearbox

Hang on...Italeri have moulded the front face back to front, the three little tube s are on the wrong side...

It's going to be one of those build i think.

its staying like that Paul, i could spend hours turning it round and then find the whole kits wrong anyway Its italeri..no one expects it to be correct anyway

I get that! Have been quite disappointed with other of their kits and these days tend to just avoid them. Should do that with Trumpeter kits but they are hit and miss so what can I say.
Will still be following along as your car builds are always quite enlightening.
