I found a BF109 the same day in the same scale ! 1/24, and 10 bucks each! Of course this was around 77 or so. I tried to build them both at once, but ran into a major problem- my desk was too small! lol

So i tried building them on the floor, that failed and the dinning room table was off limits to models (mostly paint and glue)

Both ended up in a metal trunk that i found a decade later after my father passed, he and mom had divorced years earlier and we focused on his 10 tons of stuff so my treasure chest was tossed!

I wasnt worried then, nor now. Just thought about this while surfing- thought i would post... CR

B-36 and B-52 took over the ceiling even though they were 72nd scale. I also still have the Airfix 24th scale Fw-190.

Regards,

When I was a kid??

Well I don't think I ever finished the B36, that was when I was in the USAF.

this was this summer.

Think I got ya beat. :mpup

now that's is funny - I got the Airfix Stuka in 1/24 for xmas when I was 13 :) and yep I did it ...

Biggest I completed would either be a 1/48 B-17 or a B-24. I guess the B-17 would be the larger of the 2. The largest I attempted, but never completed would have been the 1/48 B-1.

Lets see, It would be a toss between the Airfix 1/24 Mustang and the Airfix 1/72 C-130 Hercules with the bloodhound missile included.
