Speaking of references, I found one of the best for this project to be the
AFV Modeller Trumpeter Tiger II site...these guys know their stuff.

Haven't updated for a while, been concentrating on building...
Here's the last pic I took before primer:
With very shaky hands, I was a nervous wreck, I sprayed it with Mr. Surfacer 1000 from a spray can.
I shouldn't have worried, this is excellent stuff, next time Sprue Brothers has it in stock I'm buying
a crap load of it.
One of my favorite areas of the model:

I'm thinking of airbrushing the camo as tightly as possible, then going back and adding
the hard edges with a brush. Seems there are people who believe this is how it was done
at the factory.
I'll be using the AK Interactive German late war color set.

I just stumbled on to this.
What a treat!
The scratched styrene details look like they were cnc-milled. I can't cut those small parts with that kind of consistency to save my life.
It's a thing of beauty.

A couple of things I've learned on this project:
If you need to drill a small hole in a small part, drill the hole in a big part, then cut it down to size.
And if you need two parts, make ten and pick out the best looking ones.
