Almost built a Hellcat, F6F-5, 1/48

I haven't built anything serious for a long time, so I thought an out of the box could be a start and if I'd ruin it, so be it.

Not least, was also lured by Eduard putting a label 'Weekend edition' (which was a trap, or it has to be a long, long weekend)

So, not yet fully complete, but looks very much like a Hellcat:

That's some time ago, when 'out of the box' went off track and the engine got a brass shaft and two ball bearings -

This is the -5N Hellcat, yes? CVG(N)-91, USS Enterprise, say early 1945?

Looks like a good clean build so far. Well done and nice job getting your first post up on the website.

I like this Hellcat kit, it's very well done. I did one a while back and forgot to paint the inside of the cowling. Just ruined it for me.

So far so good! Looking to be a nice job. I never bother with time periods for builds any more. They "ALWAYS" take 3 to 25 times longer than I originally thought they would. Usually because the kits I choose have "issues" that I can't overlook once I see the "issues".
